Zoom will be rolling out to Amazon Echo Show devices in the U.S. Users can simply ask Alexa to join their scheduled Zoom meeting and if the user has linked their calendar with the device, Alexa will automatically start the meeting entirely hands-free. Zoom on Amazon Echo Show will take advantage of Alexa’s AI capabilities. The service will be available on Portal Mini, Portal, Portal+ with support for Portal TV in future. Zoom on Facebook Portal will use Portal’s smart camera technology to help keep people in frame for better video calls just like it does with Facebook Messenger video calls. Although the Zoom video calling will work almost in a similar way as it works on other platforms and users will be able to take meetings with video and audio using these devices, all three companies have different ways of implementing the feature. The service will be available publicly on Portal by Facebook in September, while Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub Max users will have to wait till the end of the year. According to the blog post, Zoom for Home will be made available for a wide range of smart display devices including Amazon Echo Show, Portal by Facebook and Google Next Hub Max.

Zoom users will soon be able to take video conferences using their smart display devices as the company has announced that they are planning to support more variety of devices by the end of this year.
